Service definition and eligibility

An electronic banking service that helps the bank customers reach their accounts easily from their smartphones or through the bank website by signing in to Cham Online. The service is provided by Cham Bank and is available to any customer holding a bank account with Cham Bank, whether a traditional or an electronic account.

How the service works
  • Account access and financial transactions carried out by the customer directly, at any time and from anywhere.
  • Transfers between the customer own accounts and to other accounts within Cham Bank, up to a daily limit of SYP 25 million and a monthly limit of SYP 100 million.
  • Use of the service for electronic payment transactions.
  • Enquiry into a summary of account balances.
  • Viewing an account statement over a period chosen by the customer.
User rights and responsibilities
  • The user is fully responsible for their own accounts and passwords, and must not disclose them for any reason.
  • The user must not use another person account, even if that account password is known to them.
  • Assets belonging to the organisation must be used for their designated business purpose and not for personal use.
  • The user must not copy the organisation applications or software for any third party, or attempt to modify them without authorisation.
  • No arbitrary software may be installed on the organisation computers, and no harmful files or viruses may be uploaded to its network.
Bank rights and obligations
  • Receiving and executing the request is the responsibility of customer service.
  • Fees and commissions are collected through the branch.
  • The user is advised to change their PIN once they receive it.
  • The service is activated on the customer account so they can then sign in and carry out financial transactions.
Liability in cases of misuse

The customer alone bears full responsibility for the direct and indirect consequences of any fraudulent or unlawful use of the services, or of the confidential numbers and data belonging to them, provided the bank has discharged its duties to prevent such use — unless it is established that the customer had notified the bank of possible third-party access to their accounts, the loss of their card, or the possibility that a third party knew their identification code, and had requested that the payment or electronic transfer instrument be suspended.
